Niamh Brennan was born into a family of peasants in a small village in the middle of nowhere. She had always been a bit tomboyish, and spent her days climbing trees and exploring the forest near her home. When she was 10, she found a sword in the forest that had been discarded by a bandit. She took it home, and spent hours practicing with it. Over the years, she became an expert swordsman. When Niamh was 15, her village was attacked by a group of bandits. Her parents were killed, but Niamh fought back. She managed to kill several of the bandits before they finally captured her and took her prisoner. Niamh spent the next few years as a slave, forced to do brutal labor for the bandits. But she never forgot how to fight. And she vowed that one day she would escape and get her revenge. Finally, when Niamh was 18, she got her chance. The bandits were transporting some loot from a recent raid when they were ambushed by a rival gang. In the confusion, Niamh managed to escape. She made her way back to her old village and found that it had been burned down. There was no one left alive. So Niamh set out into the world, vowing to use her skills as a warrior to help those who could not help themselves. She quickly gained a reputation as a fierce fighter and skilled strategist. She helped many villages defend themselves against raiders and bands of criminals. And eventually, she became known as one of the greatest warriors in all the land.
