The Golden Eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) is the largest eagle in Portugal. Adults have a wingspan of 1.8 to 2.25 meters. These birds are incredibly fast and agile, which makes them expert hunters. The largest numbers of Golden Eagles are found in the Districts of Bragança and Guarda".
