Chapter 1: Clubhouse
My name is Captain Bearington, a boat wrangler of 30 years in the Southern Metasphere of the world. I’ve sailed the dark oceans, lounged in the bellies of whales, and collected treasures more plentiful than the sand above the shores.
But there was one story, maybe a legend, passed from the mouths of honey-drunk bears with nothing better to do than gossip and revive stories of old. I heard it once from Old Bear Jones. I hardly believed it - I thought I had fluff in my ears. But when I asked him to repeat it again, he refused.
So for the past decade, I went out in search of knowing more of what happened to this sleuth of bears, undocumented in the history books. What I found was beyond anything I could’ve imagined…
Some called it a tragedy, some called it a rebirth. I’ll let you decide after you hear the story.
