This portrait belongs to the period when I was interested in putting on lights and doing stylization for portraits of old masters of painting. I had a series of portraits in this style.
The idea to stylize the shooting as a portrait of a "Girl with an ermine" by Leonardo da Vinci belongs to Pauline's mother.
We found a luxurious costume in the city theater.
We didn't find an ermine, instead a ferret took part in the shooting. The most difficult thing was to capture the animal in the right position.
For the lively and mobile Paulina, this was the first experience of shooting in a static pose - I put the camera on a tripod and asked her not to move.
This portrait is one of Pauline and her mother's favorites. At the time of the shooting, the girl was 11 years old.
