This painting is dedicated to all those people who are going through the hardships of inner struggle, much like I have gone through.
This painting is about pain, fear and hope. It's a visual expression of my story: personal, emotional and honest.
It's about the period when I was on the edge of suicide. It embodies my internal battle for life.
The two figures in the painting represent two opposite parts of one tormented soul. The tattoos, scars and bruises on their bodies symbolize the violence and pressure that, like trash from the outside world, once inside, forever change the pure childhood perception.
One part of the soul unable to cope with the pain and pressure is ready to give up and burn everything down. But the other side represents hope, present within each of us, always assuring us that everything will be okay. It strives to mend the torn soul and heal the wounds, seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
Through an expressive style I aimed to highlight the emotional intensity of the artwork and through the deep blue background, immerse the viewer into the depth of my wounded inner world and reflect in the hearts of other people.
