Simone Lefevre was born to a family of scholars in the small town of Lille, in the Kingdom of France. When she was five, her parents were killed in a bandit raid. Simone was sent to live with her uncle, a great wizard known as Gérard Lefevre. Under his tutelage, Simone learned how to read and write, as well as basic arithmetic and history. She also began to learn magic. Simone's natural talents for magic quickly emerged and she soon became one of her uncle's most promising students. When she was sixteen, Simone was chosen to participate in a magical tournament held in the city of Paris. She won the tournament, besting some of the most talented young mages in the kingdom. With her new-found fame and glory, Simone realized that she could use her powers to help people. She began traveling around the kingdom, using her magic to help those in need. She quickly became known as the Tempest, due to her ability to control the wind and rain. Simone's legend grew over the years as she continued to use her magic to help others. Eventually, she became known as one of the greatest heroes of the kingdom.
