This animated work is a love letter to my times in Trastevere, Roma. A place where I have spent many days over the last year Heartbeat Walkin' the streets, and where I will return tomorrow. I have always felt a deep kinship with art history, and consider many of its characters to be my friends, their stories giving me comfort and inspiration during trying times. Rome is the eternal city, effervescent and glowing, alive with ancient mystery. I do my best to impart my life story and experiences within these animated pictures I make. In this work, you will see references to some of my favorite GIFs, including my self portrait character Heart Attracts, as well as Flower Kiss; which is pictured here zoomed out growing from the pavement. 17 sequential images; hand drawn, digital. by Dax Norman
