Swirls of time and experience, moving and working together like the complications of an intricate timepiece. Lessons of love and pain living together on a dynamic canvas of space, time and energy. One day these complications and with it experience will slowly come to settle at a particular moment and gently come to rest. We have an abundance of time and yet very little. Life is long and life is short lived. We make profound connections along the way, experiencing love and loss. In the great scheme of things these experiences are just a flicker of light and with it a small pulse of energy expelled into the universe. Like time our experiences tick by, day by day. Connections are made and re made, lost and re formed and much like an expensive watch it's complications aren't without a sense of irony. For the very thing that we constructed to measure our experience and distance within the universe is the very thing that we wish we could control. Time itself is the most precious of measurements not be wasted and is a gift often overlooked. The process: I created this piece in Maya using various 'fields' which I then used as pathways for particles. Everything was lit with just one source of light, I like this, it gives some drama. Depth of field and simple camera moves allow the piece to flow. All sound design and music was created by myself. Video is 2k but highly compressed for file limitations. An uncompressed file is available upon request.
