A calling from within. An aching misunderstood. The remnants of what once was. Unaware, the invisible passenger was here all along. I searched for love and acceptance from without. So I opened myself up to a worthy stranger. Two beings tangled in a dance of meaning. I do not fault either for the misgivings. Together we explored our wounded souls. Loving unity is what we craved. A mirror to the self is what we received. And then it happened. I saw the source of that which felt misunderstood. It was me all along. A little boy, wounded. As a child I leaned on my creators. Blind fate is all I knew. Messages misunderstood, carried through time. They did their best. They are only human after all. Suffering the same fate as I do. A path forward, paved by gentle souls with gentle words of reassurance. A blueprint for radical self acceptance. Epiphany. Yes! My only salvation is from within. In showing love, kindness and acceptance to my inner-self, I have learned to do the same for others. A journey of self acceptance, self healing. A painful privilege, worth every tear along the way.
