In the silence of a whispered breeze,
I sought myself, yet found only trees.
In the dance of shadows and the moon's soft glow,
I searched for me, but I didn't show.
I lost myself in the vast sea's tide,
Adrift on waves, with stars as my guide.
In the echo of the mountains tall,
I listened for me, heard but a faint call.
Between the lines of ink and page,
I felt a void, an empty cage.
In dreams that fled with morning's kiss,
I missed the me, lost in abyss.
