windowz xp - i’d come home from skool and log on to see this epic landscape on my desktop, the place where i'd interact with my closest friends, hangout on myspace, talk to my homies on AIM, play games like solitaire and minesweeper, log on to miniclip or addictinggames and play flash games, and overall explore the web in a way that felt unfamiliar yet so much like home - this is the genesis piece of the on-chain nostalgia collection - the mission? stamp our nostalgia into the blockchain forever - why do it? to leave behind our legacy, cementing a catalog of nostalgic artifacts into existence, to last far beyond the time we’ll all exist here on earth - this journey is a key part of my mission to proliferate and preserve our nostalgia in a way that will stand the test of time - nostalgia is in us all, it’s a meme we all know - i believe that in many ways, we’ve virtually all lived the same life, hence why we have so much similar nostalgic moments that we all share - i believe we are all one in many ways, and this on-chain project will explore that even more deeply - my philosophy with this project is to respect and honor the blockchain tech by making sure the nostalgic artwork is always shared onto the blockchain first, not on twitter first - this artwork is step 1 for preserving our nostalgia, artwork #0001 - I’m so stoked for what’s to come. may this artwork represent an artifact that marks the beginning of an epic journey forward, a journey where i leave my mark on-chain forever. much love, -SM
