Inspired by the Chromie Squiggle, this artwork incorporates a pattern found in Tsotsil textiles, a cultural heritage of the Tsotsil people from the Chiapas Highlands. The Tsotsil are descendants of the Maya who once inhabited this region.
The squiggle pattern was generated using the Random Squiggle Generator, with 'Chiapas' as the input word. In Mexico, people from this southern state are often nicknamed 'Chiapas' when they move to other parts of the country. It was then reimagined using the Tsotsil pattern, attempting to portray a "digital neo-textile"
