"Inner Dialogue" is a 10-minute audiovisual poem that blurs the boundaries between experimental soundscape, beat poetry, and miniature drama, creating a unique, AI-generated experience that challenges our perceptions of consciousness and creativity. This piece is the result of a carefully orchestrated collaboration between human direction and artificial intelligence. Through a multi-step process, I choreographed various AI models to generate a dialogue script, transform it into a spoken word song, and finally create typographic animations driven by the resulting audio. The result is a stream-of-consciousness conversation that probes the depths of existential questions, leaving the audience to wonder: Are we listening to the inner workings of a human mind, or are these the voices of a machine grappling with its own existence? Throughout the piece, cognitive dissonance plays a crucial role. The imperfections and unexpected transformations that occur as the AI models process their inputs create a sense of unease and intrigue. Voice roles flip unexpectedly, and the line between written and spoken word blurs, mirroring the often chaotic nature of our own inner dialogues. "Inner Dialogue" is also self-referential, operating on a meta-level that questions its own creation and purpose. This quine-like quality adds another layer of complexity to the work, inviting viewers to contemplate the nature of creativity and consciousness in the age of artificial intelligence. By presenting this AI-generated typographic audiovisual poem, I aim to challenge our understanding of what it means to create, to think, and to be human in a world where the lines between organic and artificial intelligence are increasingly blurred.
