描述
The first piece of the triptych collectively titled Nothing Really Works Here. In the current socio-economic landscape of his nation, a young man--potentially a digital artist--opens his laptop to work but he is greeted by news of a new policy that puts him at disadvantage. He sits and ponders if the emotional and physical hardship could be assuaged by medication from Emzor, one of Nigeria's well-known pharmaceuticals company. But Emzor may not be enough to relieve the problem and hurt, represented by red arrows depicting a more painful and intense discomfort.
The smiling emojis stuck on his head evoke the popular Nigerian saying of "suffering & smiling". A flower in his hand depicts his desire for responsibility & growth, but he is unable to follow through on this desire by placing and thereby stabilising the flower in the vase. The discomfort of the arrows wouldn't make that possible.
