**An ensemble comedy adventure series**: 9 year old Emily is the headmaster’s daughter in a small Pennsylvania town. She’s extremely clever and a bit mischievous (she basically knows all of the school secrets and knows how to work the system). One day Emily comes across a news report that a boy in the neighboring town is missing. As she starts researching this mystery, a few of her classmates get interested in her investigation and they join her on weekends. The group needs a base of operations, so Emily steals the keys to the school and they meet there on Saturday. (A bunch of unsupervised kids scheming in the school after hours, what could possibly go wrong)? So after they destroy the school, Emily actually uncovers some extraordinary clues. The squad follows the trail and eventually go on their own adventure through the Adimverse. (Realistically, they probably mess things up in the Adimverse more than they help, but that’s another story). We’ll be developing the character of Emily, as well as creating the rest of the characters on the team. We’ll need a crew of 9-11 year olds so let’s think about what are the personalities and character traits that we love in the misfit teams in content like “The Goonies”, “Stranger Things”, “It” etc. (All of these examples take place in the past, what would the team look like in modern day?) We’ll collaborate on crafting the story and decide “What did the kids find in their investigation?” and “How did that discovery change them?” **We’ll have weekly meetings to brainstorm and vote on character traits and backstory. Throughout the week we’ll share research and info on Discord and Google Docs. Everyone can write short scene prompts (Under 300 words) so we can bounce around ideas to help bring our characters to life. After we complete the characters and story, we’ll need to create a pitch so ideally we’ll need writers, artists, and marketers in our own gang of misfit creators.**
