Based off the imagined city “Thekla” from Italo Calvino’s “Invisible Cities” --- # [Orangehare.io In-House Production] “Imagined Castles” draws inspiration from Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities, a 1972 literary masterpiece in which explorer Marco Polo shares vivid descriptions of imaginary cities with Emperor Kublai Khan. Submitted by previously featured Orangehare artists, with text input of Calvino’s visions processed through AI tools like Stable Diffusion and MidJourney, the series brings to life a collection of fantastical architectures. Every castle has its dragon to keep at bay; for ours, it’s guarded by curious, rabbit-like creatures—watchful yet playful, adding an element of surprise to these digital realms. Just as Calvino sought to bridge East and West through his poetic storytelling, Imagined Castles reflects Orangehare.io’s mission to connect cultural traditions and innovations, transforming his mythical worlds into digital art that thrives on the blockchain.
