“The Only Way Out is Through” comes from a personal experience of transformative growth. While embarking on my new post-graduate lifestyle, I experienced a period of losing my identity attached to academia and the structure it provided me. With no solidified next steps and only a degree in Arts Administration to show what I had made of myself in the past 4 years, I used the beginning of my 2024 to go through a spiritual and mental ego-death. Through using material of cloth to represent the soul, I collaborated with dancer Cameron Harris and creative director Olivia Nzang to convey the strategic movement of working through a transitional point like this. The goal is to not go under, nor above hardships; but to immerse yourself to see the lesson on the other side.
