Credit for the words in my art goes to @Ramin_delgato on Twitter: https://twitter.com/Ramin_delgato/status/1492781344094621698 On Feb. 12 we learned quite a bit about the anon behind the Twitter account @crypto888crypto. I think it’s best if you read for yourself from various sources who took a deep dive into his past. The consensus seems to be that 888 is launching a cash grab…..each NFT is gonna cost 11.11 ETH, with a dutch auction ending at 8.88 ETH. Looks like a cash grab to me. John highlighted this fact in his tweet: https://twitter.com/John_ACW/status/1492829019947122691 “Not cool: asking 62 million USD + the burning of the inner circle memberships that count for a few million as well. There's no way to justify this amount. They are 100% trying to cash in on their 'popularity' by extracting as much $$ out of their followers as possible.” For starters, we learned that 888 likes to buy $5 nudes, and is apparently ashamed of this because he tried to scrub his accounts of these encounters on social media. Luckily someone screenshotted them: https://twitter.com/stellabelle/status/1492959370359058435 It was not buying the $5 nudes that I found gross (well it seems overly cheap imo), it was the attempt to cover it all up that I found hilarious. If you do something, do it transparently and be proud, make a joke of urself instead of trying to cover it up. Touting yourself as an “art angel” and then buying $5 nudes is well, hilarious and sort of pathetic. And from NFT Ethics, they did a thread on 888: “He has been well known to harass women on Twitter and there are many more stories. His whole "team" consisted of women, but many of them have left.
