The piece has been synthesised with the distinct AI-based text-to-video synthesis technique (developed by the author) from the text of the famous "Jabberwocky" poem by Lewis Carroll. The imagery has been rendered directly by the neural network (no post/edits), being derived from the omniscient CLIP neural model, interpolated in the semantic space from line to line, and finally delivered as a single flow. Essentially, this is a new kind of reproduction: as a reconstructed story, an AI-learned view on topic, the distorted cast of a centuries-old narrative, unfolded from its text lines. These distilled visuals explore the subject of cultural memes as concentrated expressive shots, merging timeless heritage with the topical trends and modern cognitive methods. This piece is a part of a collectible mini-series in the popular “story” video format – modern analogue of the medieval ballads like the one selected for this work. The software is available as an open source toolkit github.com/eps696/aphantasia, so everybody is welcome to spell their own casts to summon the visions.
