As jurors you are not to be swayed by sympathy. But does law and humanity ever clash? You are witness to the quiet, understated everyday trials that are a dime a dozen and never get publicized. Cases where odds are stacked against the indicted and their public defenders, even though facts point toward innocence. A man's future lies in your hands, a realistic yet tense moment where the accused sees no public help or widespread appeal. An innocent man convicted as the verdict comes through. Sometimes society gets it wrong.
