After having several releases through Bitbird in 2023, I've had the pleasure of building a really great friendship with someone I've looked up to for a long time - San Holo. In fact, in 2017, I supported his show playing a side stage for his album1 tour under a previous alias, but never got to meet him. After much support from him, he was one of the people I really wanted to collaborate with. I appreciate his art so much, so, when I was thinking of people to collaborate with for the album, he was one of the first people to come to mind. San is the only listed feature on my entire project! Figure This Out is about the duality of mind in crisis - going back and forth between certainty and uncertainty. Him and I are both pretty introspective dudes so this theme came very naturally. - helloworld
Figure This Out, to me, is about trying to find a way to make it work with someone you love. There are so many elements to a relationship and so many things to figure out... how to live together, how to love together, how to be together. And I keep asking myself "Are we gonna figure this out?” - San Holo
