Nostalgia Series
- Row 1: Childhood, teenage years, leaving home -> nostalgia forming years
- Row 2: Young adulthood: troubles & triumphs -> nostalgia mostly on pause
- Row 3: establishing a stabilized life -> nostalgia consuming years
- Day 7: we chart our future
Up until now ... we've been examining
- World from top down view, with map style becoming more evident in yesterday's Everyday
- Though today, perspective shifts
- No longer daydreaming on Zillow
- We have plans
- A place to call home
Nostalgia & the American Dream
- Two interwoven
- Until one is settled, who has time to appreciate nostalgia
- Stability reduces needless gyrations
- & even when we're house hunting, for first time in a long time
- We ponder of our past
If we moved back home
- we're driving on familiar streets
- & if we're in a new city we're thinking, would that tree in the back yard be able to hold a tree fort
- We're digging back in time
- So we can imagine our future
But we're not settled yet
- We're in 2020s
- Either homes sell with dozen offers, or interest rates high
- But we're used to it: life has hoops to jump through
- So today: I'm making you jump through hoops
- To get: American Dream
- Draw your sketch, anything goes (some effort)
