Hip-Hop Legends NFT. METHOD MAN (Limited 3D Edition) has arrived in Rari City.
Method Man is one of the most famous American rapper.
Sporting a mouth full of gold teeth and an arsenal of memorable verses, Method Man is one of the most charismatic figures in rap today.
Also known as Meth, Tical, Johnny Blaze, Hott Nikkels, MZA, and Iron Lung, the engaging MC has starred on hit singles and albums as a founding member of the hip-hop crew Wu-Tang Clan.
Born in Hempsted, Long Island he split his childhood between his father's Long Island residence and his mother's Staten Island home.
It was the latter locale where he met his future Wu-Tang cohorts RZA, Genius/GZA and Ol Dirty Bastard. When they set about forming a hip-hop collective in the early 90s, Meth was one of the first to sign on.
Method Man was heavily featured on the group's classic late 1993 debut, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), even getting his own showcase track with (Method Man) which certainly put him out front in terms of name recognition.
With his steady flow, gravelly bellow and imaginative rhymes, Meth became the first solo breakout star from influential 90s rap crew Wu-Tang Clan.
Because of Wu's innovative contract, which allowed individual members to sign solo deals with whatever label they chose, Meth inked a contract with Def Jam.
1994, approximately one year after Enter the Wu-Tang's release, he became the first Wu member to release a solo album, Tical.
Highly anticipated, the album entered the charts at number four and quickly went platinum.
Thanks to his gravelly voice, ultra-cool persona and knack for metaphor-laden rhymes, Method Man quickly became one of the most popular MCs of the mid 90s.
He appeared on a plethora of tracks by other artists, including those of the Notorious B.I.G. (The What), Shaquille O'Neal (No Hook) and Boyz II Men (Vibin).

Shortly thereafter, another duet (this time with Def Jam labelmate Redman) on the compilation track (How High) climbed into the pop Top 20.
All of this activity, coupled with the Wu-Tang Clan's own international fame, led to inflated, unrealistic expectations for the Clan's second album, Wu-Tang Forever.
Though more than 600,000 copies of the double-CD were snapped up in its first week alone. Wu-Tang Forever went triple-platinum and earned a Grammy nomination for the Clan.
In November of 1998, Method Man finally released the follow-up to Tical (Tical 2000: Judgement Day) which debuted at No. 2 and promptly went platinum.
1999 Meth parlayed his growing friendship with Redman into a joint appearance on Jay-Z's Hard Knock Life tour.
During the tour, the two wrote a duet LP, America's Most Blunted, later changed to (Blackout). It was released with much fanfare in late September, debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard charts with impressive first-week sales.
After completing the Clan record (The Wu) in late 2000, Method Man focused on his acting career.
He portraying a young gangster on HBO's prison drama (Oz) and teamed up with Redman for the stoner comedy (How High), which hit theaters toward the end of the year, around the same time as the fourth Wu-Tang album, Iron Flag.
2004 Method Man released his third solo album (Tical 0: The Prequel). In 2006, Meth issued (4:21 The Day After), which featured appearances from many Wu-Tang members
A steady stream of mixtapes, live albums, and concert videos appeared before Method Man reunited with Redman for the 2009 album Blackout! 2.
The Source listed Method Man on the Top 50 Lyricists of All Time in the year 2012.
