In the shadowed realm of Eboncrest, where the fabric of reality itself is woven from threads of dusk, there exists a sinister kingdom ruled by a malevolent monarch known as Nihilos the Chroma Reaper. Nihilos rules from a citadel forged from the echoes of forgotten dreams and the discarded hues of a thousand sunsets. Adorned in a cloak of eternal twilight, the devil king bares a crown of thorns that eternally pierced his brow. His wings, crafted from the skeletal remnants of fallen spirits, create the sound of whispered screams as he flies over his kingdom. In his grip, he wields a blade fashioned from the bones of those who dared resist his dominion, ablaze with the infernal black fire that fuels his insatiable hunger for colour. To steal colour from the real world, Nihilos has an army of black cats that stalk unsuspecting victims. When the cats find a victim, they initiate a sinister ritual. With every step the cats take, the very air seems to tremble, and as they begin to meow, the sounds of an alien yet haunting lullaby echo in the minds of their victims that lull them into a trance. The cats then cast a shadow that drains the vibrant hues from their surroundings. The cats can leave desolation in their wake, transforming not only humans ino lifeless husks but golden fields into monochrome deserts and vibrant blossoms into withered remnants. This stolen essence is then funnelled back to Nihilos, who revels in the suffocating gloom of his realm. The stolen colours, now trapped within the confines of Eboncrest, empower his rule over his realm of abandoned pigments built from trapped beauty.
