I created Omonria in an attempt to connect with my roots. My dad told me a story about a great great great grandmother of mine who was a warrior at the time in Edo state, Nigeria. I got to work imagining that in such a time the lines of geography would be blurred and so I styled her like the Amazons of Dahomey, Benin; the only location I could find such female warriors.
