Renowned independent spirits bottler Duncan Taylor has released two rare expressions from Macallan, an iconic Speyside distillery celebrating its 200th anniversary this year. Sold individually Macallan 1969, 52 Year Old and Macallan 1991, 33 Year Old have both been matured in sherry oak casks and bottled at 100ml, a volume appealing to a broader market of connoisseurs. Part of the Duncan Taylor Rarest Reserve Collection, these releases are presented in a gold bar-inspired cabinet display box. King Charles III and Queen Camilla sampled the 52 Year Old in Edinburgh on 3rd July 2024, with Her Majesty praising it as a single malt that "hits the spot." Each edition is limited to 500 x 100ml bottles. BlockBar has secured 10 x 100ml bottles of each.
