Maeve was born to a family of commoners in a small village in the kingdom. When Maeve was just a child, her parents were killed by a band of thieves who raided their home. Maeve was able to escape and fled to the forest. There she met an old woman who took her in and taught her the ways of the forest. The old woman also taught Maeve how to fight and how to use weapons. Maeve spent many years living in the forest and honing her skills as an assassin. She eventually came to the attention of the king who hired her to kill his enemies. Maeve became one of the most feared assassins in the kingdom and she relished in her reputation. One day, Maeve was tasked with assassinating a rival king. Maeve infiltrated his castle and killed him while he slept. As she was making her escape, she was discovered by the guards. Maeve fought her way out of the castle and made her escapeHshe returned to the forest where she remains to this day, waiting for her next target.
