The Assassin's Creed, a popular gaming series glamorizes a historical Nizari Ismaili order. The series is well-researched and accurate, except for the Creed, which has never been found in the remaining literature and whose provenance can be traced back to Foucault and not Hassan al-Sabah. Amongst the many legends surrounding the Assassins, one involves the use of drugs to intoxicate initiates, then transporting their bodies to a different room where they wake up to beautiful women and wine and are free to indulge: the promised heaven for those who die for the cause. This series imagines an army of female assassins across cultures and time periods.
