Determined to unravel the mystery of the giant eggs, Old Jack set out to search the surrounding countryside. He asked his neighbors if they had ever seen such eggs or heard of any creature capable of laying them, but no one had any answers.
Days turned into weeks, and still, Old Jack couldn't uncover the secret of the eggs. He began to worry that he would never solve the mystery.
Then, one evening, as he was returning home from another fruitless search, Old Jack heard a strange noise coming from the barn. Curious, he cautiously approached and peeked inside.
To his amazement, he saw one of his geese sitting proudly on a nest of eggs – but these were not ordinary eggs. They were the same giant, speckled eggs he had found in the field weeks before!
Old Jack couldn't believe his eyes. It seemed his own goose had been laying the mysterious eggs all along. Overwhelmed with joy and wonder, he hurried to tell Martha the incredible news.
