Last Supper: The Shadow of Betrayal, The Light of Redemption
This work captures the eternal dualism of light and darkness, betrayal and salvation, fall and transcendence. Two canvases, like two faces of the same truth—one depicting the moment of betrayal, the other its consequence. This composition invites the viewer to rethink the story of the Last Supper—not merely as a historical event, but as a symbol of choice and destiny.
Would Christ have reached divinity without Judas’ betrayal?
Does every light cast a shadow?
Can betrayal be a path to salvation?
Structural and Compositional Analysis
• The two symmetrical canvases reflect the fundamental contrast between light and darkness.
• Intersecting lines and perspective create an abstract cross within the structure.
• The two small squares on each canvas represent Judas—one light, the other dark—raising the fundamental question:
