No guitar pic used, for inquiring guitar geeks. This one has a Satriani vibe I’m proud of. It's the most flashy “real righty” (R hand on fretboard) improv I’ve done up to now in Feb 2025. The last tune in a group of different late-late night improvisations, I jammed with the beat for a while until the call-and-response phrases (kicking off and bringing in the tune) “showed up”. When they did, I knew that was the way to go, then improvised this take. I made sure the drums breathed a bit - which affected the improv - to keep things interesting.
