It is not a hypocritical and temporary speech. Art has to be available to the people! I don't want a lambo! If I always sell my art for the low price I sell today, I will be able to live worthily of art as a profession for the rest of my life. I chose a minimalist life. With little money, I can find happiness, peace, freedom, autonomy and abundance. We have to break with this logic of the traditional art market of over-speculation that ultra mercantilize art, creates elites and benefits few wealthy collectors and only 1% of artists. The aesthetics of the low price is an artistic and economic symbolism that tries to deny this elitist and excluding logic in order to democratize art.
