This piece is part of a series that tells a story about sentries that guard the gateway to different portals. These sentries' identity has been stripped by use of a checkered pattern to create an illusion of anatomy hence they can be no one and everyone at the same time.
These portals are the point of solace and peace amidst chaos. The calm during the storm.
