Introducing Somewhere, a new Megapixels artwork.
Love for disenfranchised and marginalized people is the central theme to my art. This piece features Dorothy walking towards a tornado illuminated by a rainbow.
I'm drawn to the Wizard of Oz because of my love for the Tin Man, Cowardly Lion and the Scarecrow, who believe they are inadequate. However, it's Dorothy's love and compassion towards her friends that make's the story so important to me.
My Megapixel collection is composed of images made from adorable AI-generated tiles that I cheekily nicknamed “Bushis”.
With Megapixels, I seek to bring a touch of nostalgia to the constantly evolving intersection of art and technology: the sharp, geometric tiles both evoke traditional pixels while showcasing miniature, fully-formed works of art.
Somewhere is made from just about 5,000 of these Bushi tiles.
