Created: Feb 8, 2024 While working on a 1/1 piece for a exhibition in NFTNYC'24, I began developing a set of texture studies built on style reference derivatives of found textures and created portraiture images. These quickly turned into a wide range of explorations, and while this is not the final form of this line of thought, it does mark a highlight moment that needed to be captured in this collection. The final piece for the show is a reference to Syncretica, and more so even a branch of Age of Syncretica (Strange History) where a collage styled portrait of a Syncretica youth member is highlighted. This study itself shows the extreme texture versions, which I eventually pulled back from, while still loving this as a piece of its own.
