1/1 photograph by Burnish, created October 2022 when I took a month off my dayjob and embarked on photographic adventures. Some were chosen by collectors, and others I funded myself. This image was created on an adventure to Los Angeles funded by Justin Aversano.

I grew up in Southern California, a grimy beach child with long wavy hair and little parental supervision. When I was exploring the Venice Beach Boardwalk with my camera, these two girls immediately caught my eye and made me wonder which option I would choose- cell phone, or perfect ice cream cone?

I love creating street photography images where the people in them are anonymous- it preserves their privacy while allowing us to still enjoy the scene.
