描述
His reinterpretation of the painting From Williamsburg Bridge is almost an antonym of the original artwork. The alienation and anonymity of urban life, a distinctive trait of Hopper’s art, are overcome by the cheerfulness and pizazz of a typical summer day in New York. True to his style, music saturates the detailed artwork, which Christopher describes as an “illustrated chorus.” The design of the building is inspired by the art for the album Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin (1975) and includes multiple references to the rock icons. Additionally, you’ll find many of the characters from Hopper’s works along with a nod to Alfred Hitchcock and Audrey Hepburn; look closely, and you’ll even find Hopper himself among the crowd. It’s easy to get lost in the incredible detail while we let the notes of the famous song Stairway to Heaven carry us away.
