in some recent studies of leonardo da vinci's work, i was really struck by his anatomical sketch of a human skull, dated between 1472 & 1519. this drawing wasnt just art, it marked a major departure from medieval perspectives on anatomy. the piece is lauded for its meticulous attention to detail. it introduced an unprecedented understanding of proportions & spatial arrangement. leonardo's genius is evident in how he used chiaroscuro techniques to achieve a 3d effect to engage in a contemporary dialogue with this iconic piece, i applied glitch with a palette of soft peach, grape, dark navy & turquoise hues. as leonardo's original sketch is already a masterpiece in anatomical artistry, i opted not to alter any aspect of the original drawing, but to add my own interpretative layer, breathing new life into this timeless classic with the language of modern digital artistry
