This painting is about getting in touch with one’s roots. I had lost my parents at a young age and I am the last of my ancestral line. It is a lonely feeling, yet I am grateful for all the miracles that funneled into the possibility of my existence. The intricate lacing of generations that are running in my veins. So even though my family is gone, they are still with me forever, they are a part of me. I am my own family tree. “Where did we come from? Where do we go? Does it matter? The answers I really don’t know. We’re like letters of writings in the sand of a shore Erased by the waves of a Cosmic flow. Everything changes and nothing lasts.
