Kobe Bryant is known for being the Iconic Basketball player of his generation during a 20- year career with the Los Angeles Lakers. He is an 18-time All-star who has won five NBA championships during his lifetime. Bryant is also a two-time Olympic gold medalist with the U.S. team. It was said that he showed up two days early before the start of the Olympic team and requested from his coach to guard the best perimeter player on every team. This showed his tremendous work ethic and determination that he had. Bryant was also known for his philanthropic endeavors with the Kobe & Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation. He also ran an annual summer camp called the Kobe Basketball Academy. Kobe Bryant died in a tragic helicopter crash with his Daughter on Jan. 26, 2020 but will always be remembered in history as one of the greatest basketball players.
