Dominique was born to a noble family in the Kingdom of Bretonnia. As a child, she was always intrigued by magic and loved to watch the court illusionists perform. She would often sneak into the library to read books on magic, dreaming of one day becoming an illusionist herself. When she was caught by her father, he forbade her from ever practicing magic. As a young woman, Dominique rebelled against her father's wishes and began to secretly study illusions. She quickly mastered the art and started using her skills to perform at local taverns and inns. Her performances soon became extremely popular, and she began touring all over the kingdom. While on tour, Dominique met a group of bandits who tried to rob her. She used her illusions to distract them long enough to escape. The bandits were so impressed by her skills that they offered to let her join their guild. Dominique agreed, and for the next several years she travelled with them as they committed robberies and heists all across the kingdom. During one of their heists, Dominique's gang was caught by the city guard. Dominique was able to use her illusions to create a diversion that allowed her fellow bandits to escape. However, she was captured and sentenced to death. Just before her execution, Dominique was visited by a member of the Bretonnian court who offered her a pardon in exchange for using her skills to help the kingdom.Dominique agreed and was released from prison. She has since served as an illusionist for the court, using her skills to help protect the kingdom from its enemies. She is also now one of the most celebrated heroes in all of Bretonnia!
