In the valley there was a group of apes bored of their bananas, and the buzz around was that they had left a bunch behind. NFTrex didn’t have to search long, as brightly hanging there in the tree was the treat for all the see. Though sadly for the hungry dinosaur the appealing snack was just out of reach. NFTrex tried to grab them by reaching up on tippy toes & even jumping high in the sky. With every jump a loud stomp caused the tree to shake, wiggling the bunch looser each time. Waiting patiently in the rain, NFTrex stayed dry under the leaf with the belief the treat would eventually drop! Though tired of hanging around, the starving dinosaur decided to split to search for other earthly snacks within reach… -Inspiration- I often have felt like NFTrex in this moment. There are artists that I love a whole bunch, but collecting them is just out of my reach. With full determination, I’m remaining perfectly content waiting for them to drop & hopeful that one day I’ll be able to reach high enough to get them! Also, on a personal note, I think it’s absolutely bananas that I have created this entire series mostly by drawing and creating each piece on my MacBook Pro trackpad using my index finger to draw. Any artist would agree that I am bonkers, but it’s simply how this collection came to be! Perhaps given the prehistoric nature of this collection, it was artistically meant to be made a bit archaic! -Details- Created by Illustrator & Animator Rachel Ryle, mixed media digital cel animation using stop motion techniques; 12-second looping film; mp4; 1080px1080px.
