"At the end of Game 7 of the World Series in 2016, people were walking around the outfield in a daze. I'm next to another guy from Evanston, IL; we were born at the same hospital, Eddie Vedder. Suddenly we're in the middle of the outfield, and there, with the engine running, was a Camero they were giving to the Most Valuable Player. And I looked at Eddie, and he looked at me, and everything in me wanted to get in the car and cruise the outfield with Vedder.
If we were in Chicago, we'd have done it but we were in Cleveland. The Cleveland fans had been incredibly gracious and they wouldn't like people tripping on them when they lost. They went to 7 games and 10 innings so I didn't do it. Still, whenever I see Eddie, I say, 'Why the hell didn't we take that damn car?' Both of us think that it should have have been done. And it will be done another time."
