The Eighth Æther, An Echolith. Echoliths are remnants of lost time and forgotten echoes, beings that embody the memories and emotions throughout past, present and future. These entities are not the spirits of those that died, nor do they belong to any physical plane, they are manifestations of collective, unfulfilled desires, fragments of dreams, and half-formed thoughts that were never given shape. It exists where memory fades into nothing, an entity that feeds on the thoughts that people no longer wish to hold onto. It drifts silently through the Aether, drawn to places that have seen great shifts in history or where the emotional weight of countless beings have left an imprint. As such, these creatures often dwell in places abandoned and desolate, where echoes of the past cling to the very air itself. Unlike some Æthers, the Echolith does not seek to impose or manipulate, nor does it care for power. It is a being that is unknowable, a mere observer of lost time, feeding off the things that beings in both the Aether and our world abandon. It has an affinity for memories discarded in regret, for dreams that were surrendered to the waking world, and for stories that faded before they ever had a chance to be told.
