Last summer my partner brought home some acrylic paints to make fluid art. Dropping a few drops on the surface of the water and then dipping a drawing card into it.
I liked the effect so much that it led me to research fluid mechanics. Some experiments I did tried to imitate the physical properties of the fluid but they were computationally very expensive. So I decided to do a visual approach, seeking to create that effect of mixing paint, curves and drying. The result is an interesting study on how colors mix in fluids.
