The environment around my studio is bricks and cobblestones. Many times I have used both to depict emotional and political realities. Paintings, like dreams, synthesize elements from daily life, like birds in our back yard and the bricks that make up our studios, into potent metaphors of existential reality.
Based on an oil painting I created in 1998 measuring 78"x100". Digitized and animated in Photoshop.
