The turquoise glacier water of Lake Louise is a sight to behold. The landscape is incredible surrounding what has become Canada’s most famous lake and one of the most known worldwide. It is truly breathtaking throughout any season. During the summer of 2021, I took off on a 45-day (20,000km+) road trip living in my SUV as I drove across the country. I’ll always remember this morning as my alarm went off in the pitch dark, slowly waking in the comfort and warmth of my sleeping bag in the back of my vehicle. I hit the road as soon as possible, making it to the shores as the stars were slowly disappearing with the rising sun. It was amazing feeling the cool breeze drifting off the lake as the day’s first light danced on the distant mountain peaks. The cold watery depths are as enchanting as the towering Rockies.
