Finding these delicate decomposing leaf skeletons in my garden gave me the idea to create this triptych and knowing that these leaves were from the previous spring made me reflect on the fragility of our own existence. Six months earlier these leaves were fresh, green and filled with life. Now they were barely holding together after winters harshness.
I love finding smaller more intimate scenes within the landscape often involving texture, pattern, form, structure, colour, surrealism or beauty.
Creating a triptych is akin to writing a poem instead of just a sentence. It involves photographing the subject matter with the intent of it becoming a part of a whole. Then building the flow of the images within the triptych to avoid them being unbalanced and unattractive.
This triptych has been created using three high resolution images and the final file size reflects the quality.
Anyone collecting this image will be given the option of having an airdrop of this triptych with a black background.
I can also supply high resolution single images for the collector to display individually.

I am a landscape photographer from the UK and work in and around the Yorkshire Wolds. This is an area of chalk upland and was recently made famous by the artist David Hockney who painted and drew in many of the places I photograph. I have had two books published on the City of York and lead workshops, photography walks and give talks about my work. I have also had my images used by local tourism providers to promote the area.
