However, they have never worked through their own grief and trauma. Instead of giving comfort to the hurting, they start dumping their emotions onto the hurt person.
Hurting people don’t owe you a therapy session. The next time you want to comfort someone, do some reflecting before reaching out. Make sure that you are extending healing hands instead of grabbing emotional medicine for yourself.
If you are the person hurting, do your best to show grace when you see someone trying to help you. We are all just trying to figure out life after all.
