Sun Wukong is known throughout the East from the story of the Journey to the West, a VERY long tale depicting various ways that what started out as a stone carving became an incredibly powerful, while self-important, god. Many battles next to his friends along the way gave light to the image in this NFT. Sun Wukong wears a tiger's skin around his hips, beautifully depicted armor, and stands on a rock before a waterfall with his staff created from one of the Pillars of Heaven in a fighting stance, ready to roll. Known as a hothead because people just weren't listening to him tell them when danger was around, he often had to rescue his friends from predicaments that he warned them were coming. There are many depictions of Sun Wukong in modern stories like Son Goku from Dragonball, Monkey from Enslaved: Journey to the West (voiced by Andy Serkis) and a new video game coming soon. This is just my depiction of him. I hope I made him proud of his visage.
